There’s nothing we love more than the freedom to design and create. When you let your mind wander, amazing things happen.

If you’re looking for a unique and unusual piece of furniture, check out the pieces in our online shop. All of them started life as an unwanted, ugly duckling stuck at the back of someone’s garage or spare bedroom.

Our style and inspiration

We take our design inspiration from interiors trends, Pinterest and Instagram, classic design and architecture. A splash of bright colour really does cheer us up. Although the end result often depends on what mood we’re in at the workshop! 

Sustainability inspires our work. We try to reuse as much of the original materials as possible and recycle any residual waste. We use zero VOC Fusion Mineral Paints, which are hard wearing, UV resistant and achieve a lasting matte finish.

We love reinventing and transforming furniture to give it a new lease of life. If mass-produced is not for you, follow our social feeds to see our recent projects.

Looking for a specific piece of furniture?

We don’t currently offer a sourcing service, but we do have plenty of pieces in stock ready for transformation. If you’re looking for a particular piece, please ask us – we might have something in our workshop to meet your spec.

Unwanted furniture collection

If you’re thinking of getting rid of a piece of solid wood furniture (we’re not talking Ikea flatpack here), please think of The Odd Thing first. Before you head to the tip, email us a pic and we’ll let you know if we can take it off your hands. We will collect for free within a 10 mile radius of Warrington, Cheshire.
